Live Wedding Painting, Special Occasions & Portraits

by Kiersten Churchill Indianapolis

You've planned this forever. Your painting is forever.

"FIVE. STARS. ALL. THE. WAY! We feel insanely lucky that we are able to relive one of our most favorite days through this beautiful piece of authentic hand painted work of art (its that special touch for me).

-Shannon & Cole W.

Your wedding day passes in a beautiful blur.. Months of planning, face hurts from laughing, and the people you love most gathered in one place over in what feels like minutes.

A live wedding painting allows that moment to live beyond the day itself.

While your guests watch the canvas come to life throughout the evening, I'm quietly capturing the ambience, emotion, details that make your celebration uniquely yours.

The result isn't just a painting-it's the first heirloom from your marrige.

Meet Your Live Wedding Painter

When I was in kindergarten learning to write, I drew teeth on the letter "E." My teacher was not impressed and said it was playing. Kind lady..

That is my first memory of drawing probably because I got in trouble and that didn't make any sense to me. Getting in trouble for drawing? Wild.

Looking back, that was the early emergence of my God-given gift. Since I can remember, art has always been an identifier for me. When I paint, I feel closer to my Creator. I cannot explain how I do what I do, much like the Lord-I can't explain Him either!

I formed close relationships with art teachers since grade school and I took my skills even further at Purdue University. While in school, I began making monograms on canvas as personalized wedding gifts. The first recipient of the first monogram I ever made was my dearest friend, Lacey. Their monogram hangs in their home all these years and 3 children later.

A friend suggested I look into live wedding painting, something I had never heard of. After some social media digging I was beyond intrigued, taking it all in. Soon after I did my first live wedding painting for a coworker and my journey began. I've always excelled at drawing/painting people and now I use it to commemorate the special moments of my subjects!

As well as painting in my home studio, I love staying as active as possible. I'm an avid roller skater in the summers and love a game of 9 ball billiards. I spend lots of time with my husband Dan, our dog, Deleaners, and I visit our hometown of South Bend, Indiana to see my family whenever I can.

If you are interested in my work, booking me for a wedding, past wedding painting, event, or custom commission I would love to speak with you.

All my Blessings,

Kiersten
